Lenovo ThinkPad P52 – High-Spec Workstation

The Lenovo ThinkPad P52 is a powerful 15.6" workstation built for demanding tasks. It features an 8th generation Intel i7-8850H high-performance 6-core processor, 32GB DDR4 RAM (upgradeable to 128GB), and dual storage: a fast 512GB M.2 SSD with an 18-second boot time and a secondary 180GB 2.5" SSD for additional capacity, with the option to add a second M.2 SSD for future expansion.

The 15.6" IPS Full HD screen (1920 x 1080) is driven by professional-grade NVIDIA Quadro P2000 graphics, ideal for CAD, 3D rendering, and other graphics-intensive applications.

Also equipped with a UK layout backlit keyboard and fingerprint reader, this is a high-spec, reliable workstation designed to handle serious workloads with ease.

The ThinkPad P52 is certified for VR rendering and has received certifications from applications like Autodesk, Siemens, Adobe, ANSYS, and SOLIDWORKS.

Cores and Threads Explained

• Cores: These are the physical components within the CPU that perform actual processing tasks. Having more cores generally means better performance and the ability to handle more tasks simultaneously.

Condition

This laptop is in Very Good used Condition, as shown in the pictures and video. It has been carefully refurbished and functions perfectly, with only a few very minor cosmetic imperfections:

• Lid: Minor faint scuffs / scratch marks to the lid
  
• Bottom Case: Scuffs / scratch marks to the bottom case, small section of the paint work exposed left side 
• Keyboard: Slight shine to some of the keys, purely cosmetic all keys work just fine and have been cleaned 
• Palm rest: Tiny slight nic to the palmrest front edge just below the bottom left clicker, as you can see in the video and picture very minor and hard to notice 
• Screen: Faint keyboard rub to the upper middle & a tiny faint white blemish to the bottom right, as shown in the video very hard to see 

These minor imperfections do not affect the laptop’s performance. Please refer to the pictures and video for a closer look at the laptop’s condition.

Preparation, Diagnostics & Cleaning

The internal fans has been cleaned & hoovered then sprayed with compressed air to ensure of a cool quiet running experience as you can see from the good processor temperature reading via the Core Temp App shown in the product picture. The motherboard is checked for any signs of liquid spills hoovered and sprayed with compressed air to remove any dust or debris. The keyboard has been fully tested hoovered and cleaned with a sanitizer solution using a toothbrush to remove any dirt and grime! All exteriors of the laptop are then cleaned with a sanitizer solution using a microfiber cloth. The screen is cleaned using a non-smear solution and a specialized LCD screen cleaning cloth. All ports are checked and tested as working.

The drives have been checked using the Crystal Disk application and as you can see, they report Good health and a good temperature, . The laptop then has a full diagnostic scan to ensure there are no failings or issues, as you will see in the below video it passed without any issues. It is then left to run for at least 24 hours without been allowed to sleep or hibernate to ensure no issues develop.

Battery

This model has one external 90Wh battery, Windows has indicated 6:19 after a full charge the laptop has then been left to run on the battery without been allowed to sleep or hibernate or turn the screen off for 1:30 hours after which Windows indicated 5:27 remaining @ 77% capacity. The Battery Info View tool is also used to obtain the readings of the battery health which is 54.2% as shown in the last picture in the product photos. This will vary depending on usage and settings and is an indication only I offer no guarantees on the battery as it is a used consumable item

All Windows, System & Bios Updates are applied at the time of listing so it’s ready to go!

As you will see the laptop has a tamper evident security seal on the rear of the laptop if this is removed or damaged this may invalidate the warranty and return process
